Yes. PDA is a profile under the diagnostic umbrella of Autism. There is no seperate PDA assessment per se, but it can certainly be factored into the assessment process and is at no extra cost or as an additional add-on.

For children, schools will be involved in the process. As we follow all the same procedures as the NHS and the HSE, even using the same platforms, it isn't an issue. 

The school will be involved in the process under the Conners-4 assessment process. 

Even if your child manages well in school, or presents differently at home, we will not stop the assessment. We are fully aware that many kids actually like school and manage well. It doesn't make them any less Neurodivergent.

There is a huge myth out in the world that schools don't accept private assessments. Often we find that schools can say "we accept your child is Neurodivergent, but still feel they manage well and don't need additional support".

This is often hard for anxious parents to hear. Then via social media, many will say their child's assessment wasn't accepted whereas in reality, they didn't obtain additional support they felt their child needed.

Any person aged 3 or over can undergo an assessment provided they are deemed suitable for an assessment at that time. If you, or your child is not suitable for an assessment at the initial screening, we will refund your deposit. If you are concerned about suitability, talk to us.

Assessments are done by a multi-disciplinary clinical team in line with NICE guidelines.
